Vintage Racing Season officially get under way

Well the Vintage racing season officially got under way, with the Sovren Defrost Kickoff. This is an opportunity for everyone to shake off the cobweb's,and come out of hibernation, from the winter. Run what y'a brung. Shake it down, and see what you got.

While there wasn't the packed paddock, usually found at the July Historics, the enthusiasm was in the air. It was still a bit cold, but it wasn't enough to keep anyone from hitting the track!

Once practices and qualifying got under way,it was all out full throttle! Many used the weekend to test and tune, while the Novices, used the seat time,to hone their skills.

The roar of the big block motors, and the wine of the smaller class cars, was a thrill for everyone there! Check out the great shots at http://www.adamhoseyphoto.com/

The Spring Sprints should be really fun! See you at the races!

See you at the races

Gentleman,start your Engines

Well, you can feel it in the air. Winter has pretty much come and gone, except for a few lingering efforts to stick around.

The IRDC NWER 6hour endurance race was held on Sunday,March 28Th,2010.As anyone that is from this area knows,if you wait for the weather to be nice,to do anything, well let's just say you'll either be waiting awhile,or you'll simply do nothing at all. It's also been said, that if you don't like the weather, just wait five minutes,it could change.

So goes the the IRDC enduro. It started out like it was going to be a really nice day. After three thirty minute practices, the race got underway. It was pretty uneventful. Oh a few cars lost some non-essential parts, like left rear tires and springs, and break Assemblies, but other that that,it was just flat out door to door racing. You would almost think mother nature was a race fan!

Then as the day progressed, you just knew it wouldn't hold out for the entire event. The clouds started rolling in,the wind picked up a bit, then the moisture came. That's when true skill was put to the test. As the day went on,the more the rain became a factor. Oil,worn tires, and rain, just don't mix well.

As the enduro went on into the afternoon, the rain got heavier. Made for some awesome photo opportunities. The #4 team, and the #48 BMW team.seem to be in a league of their own. running off and leaving the rest of the field. Browse through the pictures posted on the Events page.
